After completing his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Dr David Moore gained general medical experience in England, NSW and the Northern Territory. He has a wealth of experience in acute emergency care, obstetrics and gynaecology, and rural health medicine. He has a post graduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Moore has enjoyed being involved in the teaching of Medical students and junior doctors for some years. He champions the use of Ultrasound in General practice.
He also has further training in the recognition of skin cancers. He has been working in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers for more than 25 years and as a procedural general practitioner is skilled in the removal of more complex skin lesions including flap and graft repairs.
Dr Moore grew up in the Hunter Valley. He has enjoyed living here in the Old Bar Area for more than 30 years. He enjoys bird watching, has an interest in environmental issues and loves playing with his first grandchild.
Dr Dinesh Parmar
Dr Dinesh Parmar has an interest in all aspects of general Practice, skin cancer diagnosis and treatments.
He has been a part of Old Bar community since 2013. Dr Parmar and his family are currently building a home in Old Bar. Dinesh has a love of cricket and enjoys time with his family.
Dinesh is available Monday to Friday except Thursdays when he has Nursing Home visits .
Dr Deborah Cheung
Dr Deborah Cheung completed her medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Melbourne in 1990. Dr Cheung subsequently enrolled in general practice training through the Austin and Repatriation hospitals, and completed her GP qualification (FRACGP) in 1996. Dr Cheung was in full-time general practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, until her move to Taree/Old Bar area in 2004 After returning from maternity leave, she continues to practice part-time with particular focus on family medicine. Deborah is available Monday - Thursday in the mornings. She speaks some Cantonese, and enjoys the arts and outdoor sports.
Dr Mark Tzanev
Dr Mark Tzanev graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University Sofia, Bulgaria .
Mark has worked in the Cook Islands and in Sydney's Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women and Sydney Children's Hospital. He obtained Fellowship of the Australian college of General Practitioners in 2009. He enjoys all aspects of general Practice including paediatrics, antenatal care, skin cancer excision, Implanon and Mirena insertion. He is married with two children and lives locally. Mark is available Monday - Friday . He visits Banyula Nursing Home on Wednesdays.
Dr Stella Gonzalez
Stella completed her Bachelor Degree in Medicine in 1998 and also a 3 year degree in Anaesthesia in Columbia in 2006. Stella has worked in various medical settings including general practice , operating theatres and intensive care.
She has also worked in areas of conflict with Doctors Without Borders. Stella has an interest in all aspects of general practice.
When not at work she enjoys the outdoors and loves to walk with her dog. Stella is available Monday - Friday .
Nicky Jardine ( BHACS., Dip P Mgnt.,FAAPM., MAIM) is our Tele- Practice Manager and has many years’ experience in designing, establishing and managing medical practices. Nicky is responsible for the overall management of the practice and is happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our practice. You can contact Nicky on 02 6553 7600
The reception and management team are led by Lucy. Lucy has been in the health industry for over 10 years and has numerous certificates in health, aged care and management. This is includes a certificate in Practice Medical Assistant. Lucy assists the Practice Manager with operational issues at the practice and helps coordinate the staff and patient systems.
